Canfor Supports BC Children’s Miracle Weekend for 30th Year

By Don Kayne, President and CEO

At Canfor, we pride ourselves in being good citizens in the communities where we live and operate. Giving back is part of our culture, and this includes a commitment to support in ways that benefit children and youth across BC.

This past weekend, Canfor employees and their families took part in the annual BC Children’s Hospital Foundation Miracle Weekend where a group of Canfor Kids presented a cheque to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation for $10,575.00.

This donation, which includes both our corporate donation and funds raised by employees for Jeans Day, will help to purchase much-needed equipment and ensure that BC Children’s Hospital continues to provide its top-tier care. While located in Vancouver, children and families from across BC are served by the hospital, including those who travel from the many BC communities where Canfor operates.

Canfor has been a proud supporter of the BC Children’s Hospital for over 30 years and to have contributed towards the $21,005,878.00 raised this year.
