In February 2025, the Canfor team took part in Mobile County Public Schools annual job shadowing in Alabama.
Nine students from Citronelle High School jumped at the chance to learn from skilled Canfor employees in various departments that aligned with their career interests. Participating departments included Safety, Sales, Talent, Environment, IT and more.
The immersive experience provided students with a behind-the-scenes look into several aspects of Canfor careers, giving students firsthand insight into the daily operations and responsibilities of professionals in their field of interest.
Each student was paired with a Canfor mentor who shared valuable knowledge and a clearer understanding of potential career paths.
Canfor is proud to foster the next generation of leaders in forestry and beyond. While it is our hope that they will choose a career with Canfor and in our industry, no matter their chosen path, we know that supporting their development is helping to build a better future where everyone can thrive.
