Communities.

As a significant employer in many of our communities, we seek opportunities to be a force for good, influence positive change and contribute to community resilience by connecting, understanding and collaborating with those who depend on our operations.

Partnering for a sustainable future.

We endeavour to have a positive and productive relationship through our engagement with Indigenous communities, local governments, suppliers, schools and community service organizations. We do this through community giving, employee involvement, infrastructure investment and skills sharing.

Shaped by our history.

Our identity is intertwined with the communities we serve. From our humble beginnings with one sawmill in British Columbia nearly 90 years ago, to our growth as a global leader in the manufacturing of high-quality forest products, we’ve been shaped by the unique histories, traditions and values of the communities in which we operate.

Supporting local Initiatives.

Our community investment and giving program, Good Things Come From Trees, supports local initiatives and funds major long-term projects focused on health, sustainability, education and community. Our Good Things Come From Trees Foundation was established to ensure a sustained approach to community giving.

We seek to support reconciliation efforts with the Indigenous communities where we operate. We acknowledge the constitutional, legal, customary and traditional rights and aspirations of Indigenous Peoples, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and the Calls to Action of Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including Call to Action 92.
