Our approach.
At Canfor, we are pursuing continuous improvement of energy use through efficiency, conservation and innovation. Energy management principles are integrated into our pulp and wood products operations through regular energy management assessments at our Canadian operations, an energy policy adopted across North American operations and evolving sustainability road maps that identify how we will meet our targets.
In our pulp operations, an Energy Management Information System enables us to improve operational energy efficiency in real time, identify opportunities and challenges related to energy use, and compare actual energy consumption to dynamic targets.
