Last week marked Mr. Peter Bentley’s official retirement from both the Canfor and Canfor Pulp Board of Directors. We are very thankful to Mr. Bentley for his lifetime commitment to this company.

At Canfor, we pride ourselves in being good citizens in the communities where we live and operate. This past weekend Canfor and Canfor kids participated in the BC Children's Hospital Miracle Weekend, presenting the hospital with a cheque of $10, 575.

This year marks a special milestone for our company. In 1938 co-founders and brothers-in-law John G. Prentice and L.L.G. “Poldi” Bentley formed Pacific Veneer on the banks of the Fraser River. While we remember where we came from, we also look forward to the future, and celebrate our 80th anniversary.
