New South Express (NSE), our award-winning dedicated trucking line, is a great asset to our company. This transportation logistics specialist and leader in safety plays a key role in delivering our southern yellow pine products to our customers in the US. NSE has been part of the Canfor group since the New South acquisition in 2006, and has been growing ever since with its operations now covering the Carolinas, Arkansas, Alabama and Georgia.
More recently, NSE has focused on the growth required to meet the future market demands for Canfor southern yellow pine products. Demand will undoubtedly increase following the completion of the many upgrades underway at our southern mills that will increase our production capabilities.
With an expanding fleet on the horizon, our need to recruit quality drivers is key to Canfor’s success in meeting our customer needs. As a result, we have unveiled a new website for NSE. The website highlights: what makes NSE a great employer; the many safety awards won over the years; the modern technology and trucks in our fleet; and a link to our current job openings.
This time of expansion was also an ideal time to relook at the future identity of the transportation division. Since NSE has a long-standing reputation down south, the name will not change but a new logo has been selected and will soon be on all of our trucks and NSE’s marketing materials. The new logo reflects the history of New South Express as well as a new bright future.
Having a dedicated and dependable trucking fleet provides Canfor a great advantage in the southern US where demands for trucking contractors outweighs supply. We’re very proud of NSE, its phenomenal safety record and quality drivers who also bring home safety awards for their driving records.
