Canfor Supports Fulton Fire and Rescue's Recovery from Flood

By Fred Stimpson, President, Canfor Southern Pine

Back in April, the Canfor community of Fulton, AL was hit with unexpected and disastrous floods. While the local Fulton Fire and Rescue team was busy with rescue efforts, their own station was flooded. It resulted in significant damages and the need to rebuild.

To support Fulton Fire and Rescue’s need for a new fire station, Canfor proudly donated $50,000. We aim to help strengthen our communities and helping support the integral fire department service is a great way to do this.

Fulton Recovery

Site preparation work began earlier this month and the station is expected to be complete by next April with a planned grand opening ceremony one year after the flood.

Thank you to everyone who has helped with rebuild efforts in Fulton; it is a strong and resilient community that Canfor is proud to be part of.
