Created by women for women, we’re proud to announce Canfor’s women’s mentorship program, MentorMe.

Canfor's Selene Norman was awarded the NENAS Student Resiliency Award. Canfor was also recognized with a NENAS Certificate of Appreciation for our Indigenous Work Experience Program.

This year, Canfor participated in the Canadian Government’s first annual Gender Equality Week. Joining together with West Fraser, Tolko and Resolute we worked to shine a light on the women working in the forest products industry through the campaign #JoinTheJourney.

Canfor has created a first-of-its-kind three-month Work Experience Program, which is currently underway in our Fort St. John, BC location.

Canfor opened our doors to showcase our industry and our careers to a group of enthusiastic young women as part of the second annual “Women in Industry” program.

We appreciate the power of diversity in our workforce, which is why we welcome opportunities where we can spark interest in our industry within those who may not have forestry on their career radar.

The First Nations community is an important partner of Canfor and is a group with which we are focused on improving our engagement, recruitment and inclusion efforts.

Working together with our First Nations communities is a key component of our business. One of our important partnerships is with the Ktunaxa Nation, and was formally recognized with the joint signing of a Relationship Protocol and an Engagement and Benefit Agreement in 2014.
