Entry-level production employees working for our Canadian operations earn substantially more than the minimum wage in the provinces were we operate. In British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, entry-level employees earn a starting wage between $19 and $29 an hour – roughly two-and-a-half times the minimum wage ($10.85 an hour in British Columbia; $12.20 in Alberta, $11.40 in Ontario). In our US South operations, entry level production employees are paid a wage consistent with the local markets.
We were recognized as one of BC's top employers for 2016 for encouraging employees to balance work and personal life and helping employees to plan for life after retirement, among other things.
