Collective Agreements

About 70% of the employees working in Canfor’s Canadian lumber operations are covered by collective agreements with United Steelworkers (USW), Pulp, Paper and Woodworkers of Canada (PPWC) and UNIFOR. In December 2013, we reached an agreement with the USW covering many of our operations in British Columbia. It expires on June 30, 2018.

About 65% of Canfor Pulp employees are covered by collective agreements with UNIFOR and PPWC, which were ratified in 2012 and expire on April 30, 2017. Canfor Pulp has received Notice to Bargain from UNIFOR and PPWC, and bargaining will begin on May 1, 2017.
