When we ask our customers what sets Canfor apart, they say our reliability in product quality and our exceptional customer service. Our performance in supply-chain management and logistics support forms a cornerstone of the strong relationships we’ve developed with our valued customers around the world.
Canfor was the leader in reaching out to build new customer networks in China, while maintaining our focus on serving our valued customers in the US, Japan and around the world. Our sales and logistics teams work with our customers in every market to ensure they receive exactly what they need, when they need it.
While wood by its very nature is a green product, the true sustainability of wood use can only be guaranteed by choosing wood from sustainably managed forests.
Canfor’s forest operations are among the most sustainable in the world. We are committed to sustainable management and transparency in what we do.
More than 98% of Canfor’s woodlands in Canada are third-party certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® Inc. (SFI) Forest Management and Fibre Sourcing Standards. Canfor Southern Pine in the United States is also certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.
Canfor Southern Pine in the United States is also certified to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Forests certified to the SFI Forest Management standard cover 101.2 million hectares, stretching from Canada’s northern boreal forest to the U.S. South, additionally the SFI Fiber Sourcing and Chain-of-Custody standards extend SFI’s reach further across North America and globally. Endorsement by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) increases SFI’s International recognition, giving our operations global recognition of good forest management.
With only 10% of the world’s forests certified as sustainably managed, customers can do their part to ensure sustainability by choosing certified products.
