Canfor and Canfor Pulp are leaders in the energy generation and self-sufficiency advances that have transformed the solid wood and pulp and paper sectors. We generate 895 million kWh of electricity a year – enough to power a city the size of Prince George.
We produce wood pellets at our pellet facilities in Houston, Chetwynd and Fort St. John. Our green energy facility in Grande Prairie, Alberta produces sustainable power for the Alberta grid.
Canfor Pulp is one of North America’s largest single producers of bioenergy. Our modern mills operate as a true biorefinery, and our goal is to become energy self-sufficient and generate surplus renewable power to sell to the grid.
